Quiet before the storm on Gili Trawangan island. In the distance you can see coming storm from over Lombok island. In August 2018 Island survived an earthquake. Around 30% of its buildings were destroyed and over 40% damaged. Despite the tragedy island recovering fast and staying busy. People are really positive and friendly here. Theres a lot of cool bars and restaurants with tasty good quality food and parties of any kind. Also you can find here places to relax, chill and recharge. I spent here over a week with my friends swimming, diving and exploring the island. Definitely planning to come back.
