Tumpek kandang is a ceremony that aims to provide safety for animals. The essence of this ceremony is to worship Ida Sang Hyang Widhi, Sang Hyang Siwa Pasupati called Rare Angon, the creature herder.
This is the teaching of love in Hinduism to all of God’s creation and which teaches the nature of respect not only to fellow humans but also to animals, plants and all of God’s creation.
