There is no denying that bali are so beautiful i mean both country are so beautiful with rich of stunning beaches and beautiful people with diverse culture. Fun fact’s that both country had similarities the people the language and they both share the same ancestry, and Indonesia has a lot of contributions in the Philippines, before the Indonesia become a muslim county. It used to be a Buddhist then later on they franchise there religion in the Philippines back in the 600AD 😂😂 mabuhay 🇵🇭🇸🇬

Firstly, Bali can not be compared to the Philippines as if you are comparing a lime to a watermelon oh well size wise. In your explanation it was quite obvious you were leaning towards Bali. Even you cited good things about Philippines you seemed to have better things to say about Bali. As some comments here, compare Bali to either Cebu island or island of Palawan. This is a no-hate comment but it is quite unfair to compare an island to a country and in your video it seemed that a tiny island has more to offer than a whole country. People are entitled to their opinion about places, but I (or most people) would appreciate and if you have a chance – compare the places I have suggested earlier. Thank you.

PS. I have never been to Bali and I know a colleague has settled in this place for good with his wife. A friend also went there and only had good comments about the island. Wish I could visit Bali someday.

Bali go there for the Hindu culture and architecture coupled with the beach scene. So now as Bali is an island, you need to compare it with a Philippine island instead of the whole country. For now I’d say Indonesian beaches are way ahead in terms of tourism development as this boomed since the mid 90’s so the architecture and planning are in place. The Philippines beaches and other tourist spots on the other hand are still to be fully developed therefore more laid back and more exploratory for it’s raw and pristine features. Philippine have more mama–papa type of accommodations than world class ones and for now goes cheap, but it’s fast catching up therefore if you’re a budget traveller, then this is an advantage combined with a predominantly English speaking population, you can’t go wrong. Take advantage of this window as it won’t last long due to rapid countrywide progress. The archipelagic chain are currently being connected by man-made bridges so land travel can be a traveler’s experience by itself. Expect the next 5 years for a sudden tourism development boom particularly for world class infrastructures in the Philippines as now it’s this country’s time to shine particularly now that Mindanao island will eventually open up its frontiers, the other hidden gems are about to be accessibly discovered very soon. It’s not only about beautiful beaches only to visit but then there’s so many vast natural wonders to explore. One very big advantage of the Philippines though among other ASEAN nations are firstly, the common usage of English as the second national language. Second, the varied and diverse dialect groups therefore the kaleidoscope of multi-cultural mix country wide. The many cultural parades and events are almost endless island to island. Being a center now for budget education particularly for learning English, Medicine, Engineering etc.., more foreign students come here not only to study but to explore the islands as tourists. So it’s not only because of tourism or the beaches specifically, when you go here, there’s more to the Philippines than any ASEAN country can compare and offer.

Nice Vid dude. Been to Bali also stayed in Canggu and Ubod, Java Area (Jakarta). My impression is that Siargao and Bali are quite similar. In terms of surfers Turfs, yogis, vegan food, topless blondies in scooters 😂to go of for an adventure. The big difference. I noticed is the INTERNET CONNECTION really sucks in Siargao compared to Bali. But yeahh as you mentioned it is way more earlier develop than in any island spots in PH.

I had an amazing experience when I was in Bali, both of them have different things to offer in terms of culture and places. Both of them have beautiful landscapes, cheap places to eat and amazing weather. However bali is a Hindu island so it has Hindu influence to offer and im totally loving it. Philippines however has this amazing beaches and its incomparable! But both have amazing locals that are friendly and always there to help. I love Bali but proud Flip here.

Awesome review. I agree. Bali has this enviable infrastructure for tourists. I died of envy when I was there. Cheap villas are spot on. But there seems to be what you might call a “tourist price” in Indonesia–even for entrance fees in Prambanan and Borobudur. Since I’m not caucasian, I usually get away with local price. 🙂 You did make a good choice in exploring the quieter central islands of the Philippines, first. A lot of Germans in the Visayas. They’re just hiding behind the coconut trees. LOL You should come on fiesta season though. Good job. Keep up the good work.

I recommend you visit Cuatro Islas (Four Islands) in Southern Leyte, just a few drive from the Caving Capital of the country. You’d pass by Tacloban, the city devastated by typhoon Haiyan in 2013 and you might want to have a video about what it looks like now after 5 years. I think that would be interesting. Imagine. Bali can serve tourists all of the needs and wide array of activities in only one single island. Indonesia has more than double islands to explore, but tourists rarely go to other islands because Bali alone already satisfied with all Bali has to offer. In Philippines you need to hop from one island to another to look for different activities and sight seeing. The problem is you compared one whole country to one single small island in Indonesia. Bali is probably more developed in terms of nice restaurants, good vegan food cafe, lots of high end clubs, exclusive hotels and more culture, you can see the culture everywhere everyday for free, some dances you have to pay but many are in everyday life of the Balinese, Bali has everythinh in a small island, mountain, volcano, rice terraces, waterfall, rain forest, cool and warm, thousands of hotels from cheap to expensive nice resorts and villa, not to forget places for pampering yourself, lots of spa and good prices, and a lot more things to find, go to Bali you will not be dissapointed

hi danny..i really appreciate what you are doing…and thank you for loving some aspects of my country, the PHILIPPINES.. but based on what i saw and heard from your video, i think your travel experiences in our country are not enough basis for a conclusion…like for example surfing.. you havent been to siargao and baler quezon yet..these places offer some of the worlds best surfing locations.. also , you havent been to boracay, boracay where almost everywhere you go you see western tourists ..a lot as in a a lot of them…i suggest when you come back here you include the following places in your bucket list, boracay, siargao, baguio city, subic, samal island, zamboanga and cagayan de oro…

If you want the tourist vibe then you should go to El Nido and Boracay. PH has a lot of tourists spots/island tours to offer that is why all foreign tourists are spread out in different islands… unlike in other countries where tourists are packed in one or only few famous spots. Try also Siargao, its one of the chill surfing vibe. Bali is famous because of the culture it has to offer which is very asian.

Hahaha u really made this video just like i recommended to you in ur past video Thailand or Phil…..anyway Bali is great: food, culture, sceneries, people, nightlife and the hotels with high quality standards are cheaper compare here in the Philippines. I just dont like their beaches and its scary to ride a motorbike especially in Seminyak because the streets are too narrow and too many cars and motorbikes all around. Traffic is hell in Bali…worse than Manila. Their beaches are quite mediocre compare to the beaches here in the Philippines.

Overall Bali is a good and interesting place. I want to go back there and hike nearby Mt Batur
