I would highly recommend to shoot in full frame mode with the a7riii and do post cropping instead.
This will avoid doing ‘double cropping’ (1st with super-crop and then in post) in the end retaining more mp.
The only times super-crop is truly useful is when trying to get more ‘reach’ out of a lens or where you send images directly online through the app.
