We only regret the rides we didn’t take.
There’s nothing zen about riding a motorbike in Bali but once you’ve mastered it, the feeling of freedom is like nothing else.
Taking the back road is always my favourite, getting lost is all about finding something you didn’t know existed. Whatever age you are, renting a scooter and taking off to parts you’d like to know better is such a part of the Bali experience.
Mind you, those who aren’t brave enough (and you do need a dose of courage to brave the roads here), can hop on the back of a @gojekbali or take the slow route with a car.
The roads that lead out of Canggu pass some of the prettiest village that you’d never know about if you stick to the main road. Have you driven a scooter in Bali?
