I find this poem intereating and inspiring. To me it is both upliftting but also a bit sad.

For a littke bacground. The cicada are regarded as a special creature in Chinese lore. Considered to be of a high status and pure among other things.
Because of its life cycle, it is also a symbol of ressurection. Starting life underground for a long time before coming out and fly in the sunshine.
