Thanks! I’ve always been interested in Balinese dancing and the shows. I’ve seen pics of the exaggerated makeup and costumes. I never knew there was a sort of re-enactment – was that something from their early history or ?

That was an interpretation of a part from the epic Ramayana, which is only of the epics from India and revered by the Hindus.

I don’t remember what city it was in but on my trip to Thailand we were taken to see traditional Thai Dancing which was very interesting. I remember on our way back to the Hotel the guide asking the men what they thought of the tallest dancer and after several people had commented he said well I hate to have to tell you this guys but that was not a woman.
