Lempuyang Temple, Bali
In Balinese, temples are called Pura.
And one of the oldest and holiest puras is the Lempuyang Temple, which sits atop the Mount Lempuyang 2000 ft above sea level in East Bali.
We reached the top on a car then had to trek for 1-2 kilometres to reach the temple.
The temple is a sight to behold, extremely beautiful, it lies opposite the Mount Agung (highest point of Bali).
To enter the Temples in Bali you need to wear a Dhoti type garment called the Sarong draped around your legs.
The lady will pour holy water to purify you as you enter the temple. Its a very captivating experience!
