I don’t think Semyniak is worth it. Very expensive, very westernized, the pools take all the water from the rice paddies.
Prefer to stay in Renon or even Gyaniar to feel the locals (not so fancy life tho but authentic for sure)

Perfect explanation on Seminyak. It’s exactly as you said/how we felt. Great place tho – just SO busy most times. Oh god, when you were at Warung Nia and I saw Gapet behind you, I was drooling. Gapet was legit best satay chicken I’ve ever eaten and beers were cheap af. Loved the place you were staying in, looks good and we checked out prices which didn’t seem too steep. Prime spot too. We went to Cafe Organic too – such good coffee. Loved Staceys concentration face π so cute! Really hope you guys get to try Yum Yum Cafe. ππ

Bali is a fun place, saying that you need to go to places where there is value in it…. places like Seminyak is all expensive now, Bali doesn’t have good beaches on that Kuta, Seminyak side, lots of rubbish by tourists…. I always enjoy your videos, prefer Phillipines better

As non-residents of Canada, and having dropped all our ‘primary ties’ (housing sold, medical cancelled etc), we only have a bank account and Can. credit cards which are considered ‘secondary ties’ – so technically and legally we are free from Canadian income tax. How do you guys do it? I think your from New Zealand or Australia and I wonder if you have to remit taxes to those nations?
