Surfing is a lot harder than surfers make it seem. Short boards take around 2-5 months of surfing constantly each week to even start learning how to ride avid size waves. The real world problem is that it wont be 20dollers for long because of videos like this, that’s the ironically with all these endless digital nomads and these travel videos which now all look “same, same, but not different”. To many DM in TL now mostly in Chang Mia and none are making any money, not to mention its still illegal in Thai law to even receive ad revenues from ads if even made in TL without a media Work-permit, which are basally impossible to obtain, big issue in TL….Footnote – (Why is it everyone is copying casey neistats’ editing, music, title style?… no more originality on YT anymore!) Nice! I live abroad too and most people who don’t travel outside don’t understand how far the dollar currency can take them. The $20 they are using per night there is big-money in the country. Locals can’t afford what these guys are doing but they can bc they have dollar accounts. Love your blog but saying this hotel will cost you only 20 dollar a night is bullshit ( even in the rainy season ), maybe you get the price for also making an commercial for them. But on all the websites i can find prices for the cheapest room in this hotel are over 120 US dollar.
However you can find some good hotels in Bali for just around 25 US dollars a night but they mostly donยดt look like this and iff you stay under 20 dollar a night most hotels are as crapy like you think they are…

go to La Union or Baler next time in Philippines, teaching how to surf is a livelihood there. An hour with a guide who’ll will push you when waves come (the hardest part) and choose waves for you is only 10 usd, you’ll be standing all the time. BTW, beginners should use the long boards. 1.5x your height. enjoy ๐
