Hey Warren , like always this was interesting to watch .I just arrived in Sydney yesterday after 10 days in Bali ,I will stay here two weeks and try to find out whats the best to see and visit here. Will go back to Bali september 20 and enjoy it. This my first solo trip and its not so bad I really like and enjoy it, looking forward to your next post! Henk

I was having breakfast & enjoying it whilst listening to the music until the toilet scene. The 1972 Picture brings back memories as well. Where it joins jl Kartika that road was also all dirt all the way to the end when waterbom and discovery mall wasn’t there. There was only a few motels and a shop called Black & White which is still there run by this old guy and old lady next to the 100,000rp shop. I suggest buying water and drinks etc from them to keep them going as it is heaps cheaper than the 7/11 etc. Plus a great family. I remember when that entire road was dirt (JL KARTIKA) & walking up there in the floods waist high in water from the king tides as well. Yes the beach was up that high and very scared thats for sure. we even got a boat ride back down jl kartika to Rama Beach Cottages it was named back then. Now called Rama Beach Resort & Spa which was also flooded. Next day it was so hot and no sign of water anywhere but the smell was bad. We always stay in Jl Kartika street now & it has changed so much and would be the best street in Bali as everything is there now. Bamboo restaurant is great food
