The rusty piece looks like a counterweight which could be used with a rope and pulley system to make something like a large window easier to lift. Probably repurposed as a boat anchor.

If you are finding that many beads where you are, i can only imagine the insane amount underwater around New Orleans. I even catch them magnet fishing.

That brown bottle we call a “stubby” – hand sized beer bottle in Australia. May be a bit on the small size though so perhaps a sauce bottle.
All those beads! Maybe someone could make one of those (insect) screen doors when you have enough. We use those cheap beads; red, green and gold ones as Christmas tree decorations. Maybe one of your friends has some young girls who can use them for crafts etc.

Must say that’s clear water. Those beads Mr. Eric seem to be Mardi Gras beads thrown from floats! Alabama and South Louisiana Ppl throw these from floats! My daughters rode these parades every yrs. for many yrs. till she’d retired! Now, her son is in college at LSU, she’s no need to be doing the many productive games and bands marching in parades for him! Some one must have lost them or played parade in the water! It’s fun catching these beads I’d been through them since I’d been a, young child myself! My parents alone with cousins would line the streets in Nouvellé Orléans Canal St. in downtown Nouvellé Orléans many times! Most float riders buy beads as these many time from ppl which would say more than 1000+ thousand to sell every five or so yrs. then sell them! If as some of my cousins attend every parade as they’d be able to day after day night after night and come the following yr. seal their many thousands of them! Ppl would get one penny per two medium size beads penny per long ones as the ones you’re picking up! The beautiful ones our daughter would give me would bring in 25 cents per fancy beads, One person on a, float would buy at least five to 10 thousand beads, toys 🧸 for children by the multi large bags near their feet. These beads and toys must last at least 5-8 miles routs per parade! Nights are the much larger and longer routs per parade! HÀ! HÀ! Fun but, tiring! Good luck enjoy! Augusta, Georgia…

That was really cool! But I have to admit that sometimes I don’t even want to click on your videos when your title starts with ” you won’t believe what I found”.
You don’t need to exercise any click bait enticements. Your content is excellent, and you’re filming is very professional. I really enjoy your explorations.
To answer your questions, I am in Northern New York, just a few miles from the Canadian border. And my favorite color is green.
Thank you for yet another very pleasant video!

The sheer number of beads you found makes me twitchy. I can’t stand people trashing nature! I guess people in MI don’t know about Mardi Gras season. I’m in COLLEGE STATION, TX (whoop!) but grew up near the coast and went to Galveston’s Mardi Gras every year until I got too old to put up with the ridiculousness. I tell you, though, the clarity in that water sure does make me want to visit. I was just talking with someone yesterday about how cheap it is to fly from here to Petoskey and then to drive up to look for yooperlites. Never desired to go to MI before now but your videos are changing my mind!

The beads are just party beads but started out as Mardi Gras beads. Females earn them by showing their breasts and guys toss them to them.
So if you see a female with lots of beads it means she flashed a lot of males.
It can work the other way around as well, I guess.
I dare you to start tossing them at your wife and see what she does. 😉
Love the watch, call a watch repair ship and ask what to do for the watch.

The brown bottle used to hold beer. The top was metal and crimped over the top, and there was a pull tab to remove it (unless it’s a newer bottle from Red Stripe beer or another brand). I had forgotten about them until you found one.
We always call those beads Mardi Gras beads.

Fossil watches have a liquid inside the lens it’s like an oil so might want to make sure. Ingleside Tx, in the Coastal Bend of Texas.

South-East Victoria, Australia. 🖖

Found enough beads you could put them in packs of 6 and have multiple give aways lol

That brown bottle. Looks like an old medicine bottle. Like the anchor.
Party beads. They can get those at a dollar store. The watch looks like money. Good find.🤔❤👍😁.

The iron weight looks like an old window casing weight. They do work for raft anchors and help old fashion windows slide up and down. Great finds!

Good haul!

Nice Fossil watch! People are so careless with leaving all of those necklaces in the water 💔 good work retrieving all of those. Happy hunting from Australia 😊🐨

The brown bottle used to hold beer. The top was metal and crimped over the top, and there was a pull tab to remove it (unless it’s a newer bottle from Red Stripe beer or another brand). I had forgotten about them until you found one.
We always call those beads Mardi Gras beads.

That brown bottle is what beer used to be bottled in, I remember my Dad and many other family members drinking beer from those bottles. That big weight looks like an old window weight. (Western NY State)
