I was introduced to Ayurveda

This weekend was one of deep reflection. Full moons always seem to have that affect on me. I found myself thinking back to the place where this whole healing journey began Bali, Indonesia. I flew there 4 years ago this month, to get certified as a Yoga Teacher. Little did I know that my entire life would change forever.
While there I was immersed in meditation, in selfdiscovery, in loving relationships without fear or holding back. I learned what it meant to be spiritually centered and felt myself tuning in to Divine Self. On top of everything else, I was introduced to Ayurveda. The moment my teacher feelgoodyoga began talking about the doshas and the elements I was instantly hooked. It was as if a flame within my heart was sparked. I had made my way home while thousands of miles across the ocean. It became clear that Ayurveda was to be my path. Those 35 days spent in beautiful Bali were truly a gift from the gods.
Everything happens for a reason. We don’t always know why or for what purpose it serves, but that’s okay. We don’t have to know. All that matters is that we consciously move forward in a direction that has been laid out for each one of us. 4 years ago I had never even heard of Ayurvedic medicine. Today, it is my life. Ayurveda is my purpose. It is my dharma. I certainly didn’t see that coming, but boy I am beyond grateful for this journey. Excited for each and every moment to come!
