The Balinese culture is wildly fascinating. They are one of the only islands in Indonesia that isnt majority Muslim, instead practicing a uniquely Balinese variant of Hinduism. I found myself amidst one of these religious ceremonies at one of their holiest sites during a major religious holiday. Opposite this temple was the iconic view of Balis Gates of Heaven, but I found the beautiful chaos around me to be much more enchanting.
