I wanted to tell you the story behind this picture.

I wanted to tell you the story behind this picture.
This picture is not edited however what you see its not reality. Yes the picture is magical but it doesnt reflect the state.
I was really looking forward to visit Lempuyang Temple based on stunning pictures on Instagram. It was one of the MUST visit places in Bali. But its not true

First off it takes so much effort and time to take this shot. You have to wake up at 4am. To get for the opening. Otherwise you would need to wait hours in the queue. We were lucky because of corona that not many people were there. We only had to wait around 1 hour.
Secondly there is not much to see and its a small square yard crowded by people queuing to take a picture.
You are given a number on the entrance and when your number is called you have to come and give your phone to the employees that take a donation to take a picture. They are holding the space with the angle where best view is taken so you cant take a picture by yourself.
If you take picture by yourself then you cant see Volcano in the middle of the gates. Second picture in this pose was taken by my friend.
And at last but not least there is no water reflection. They are holding black mirrored card next to the camera so that it looks like there is a reflection.
Its just another reminder that not everything you see reflects the reality. There are so many magical places that can just take your breath away and pictures cant show it and vice versa.
A similar story happened when we walked to La Casa del Arbol to the Edge of the World swing in Ecuador the track itself was worth it but swing was just a picture. Behind it was long queue of people that just arrive there to snap a shot.
I want to say special thanks to @azesmrodion for coming with me to Lempuyang Temple. I was really nagging him to come with me although it was not so easy to go there just to take this picture. .
