Hi Jessica, Miss seeing you in your travels. I wonder if you are still in Bali & how it is going. 2 weeks seems like a long time not to see what you are up to. I showed some of your videos to my friends last night, some of you in Goa & in Dubai with your boyfriend & my friends loved you!! We all look forward to your next video as your content is amazing & the way you share with us where you are, what you are doing, eating, and your interesting interactions with people. You are so friendly and positive and upbeat. “I Love My Life!” Such a positive influence on many people.

I imagine you are practicing with your new camera and it probably takes some time to see the differences in how it operates compared to your other one. I wonder if it is similar to the Go Pro….I see many people use a kind of thick tripod made of grippy material that folds into a fat handle to hold onto when filming. I believe that will give you more stability as your new one seems very sensitive to movement and panning. Hope you are getting good practice and enjoying the creative process of finding the right technique to smoothly portray to us what you are seeing. We are looking through your eyes, thank you for that. I cannot afford to travel and am rather trapped where I am right now.

I will do a little storytelling here for those who care to read and are waiting for Jessica to do another video, and for Jessica to read if she feels like it ^_^ I traveled a bit in my life….My earliest travels were numerous trips to Hawaii & Mexico, easy from California. I lived in Japan 3 years teaching English in private one on one sessions during the day & at night, worked as a hostess & singer in a nightclub there & went back to visit friends a number of times after returning to California. I really love Japan, it’s a crying shame about Fukushima, what a terrible blow…. I took a Nile Cruise & explored Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, Abu Simbel….went back to Egypt again a year later, partly for business, importing Egyptian jewelry and Papyrus Art & had a more “local” experience in Cairo with the help of Egyptian friends. Been to Korea a couple times, still love kimchi. Went to Quito & Cuenca in Ecuador, spent a month there, back in 2015. Was looking into the possibility of buying land, which is allowed there, and getting a self-sustaining community going. But decided against it. Language was an issue and I did not feel safe there.

About 8 months later, I got involved in a business deal with people I trusted & looked upon as friends. Well, about 8 months after that, it became very clear to me that which had been promised, the return on my investment, was not coming together. The “friend” had led me to believe that everything was all set and the all important buyer was a sure thing. That did not materialize and I was left to try and manage that situation & it did not pan out. My investment was hinged on things already supposedly being in place, that I could therefore recoup my costs of expenses and have positive cash flow. I was lied to, deceived and stolen from again and again, by other people I had trusted and through were friends.

I lost my nest egg in the bank, lost my house of 15 years to foreclosure & was completely broke in a short time, went on food stamps and had to hustle selling belongings to keep my rent paid elsewhere & to just have money to live. I went from being relatively rich a number of years earlier due to
inheritance….invested in real estate, lost out during the big economic crash, but still had my “nest egg” in the bank, enough for my retirement, til the business deal that went wrong.

I don’t know if or how much I will be able to travel again….I still feel very adventurous and want to do more travelling, but to suddenly lose my nest egg for retirement, and I am 65 now and on very minimum social security and am on Medicare, but luckily qualify for Medi-Cal as it is referred to here in California. The good thing about that is it covers anything that Medicare doesn’t cover. I live in a small town up in the mts. of No. Calif. about an hour from Mt. Shasta & I rent a little store front on the main street and occasionally open up for Sidewalk Sales when it is nice weather. I live in a little apt. in the back of the store. I am still gradually moving the belongings from my house & it’s not been easy as I have been dealing with the aftermath of intense stress and how it affected my body.

Aside from stress & the cortisol it pumps through the body, I found out that hidden food allergies play a big part, as well as grains, legumes, dairy, especially wheat, and it can cause imbalances in the good flora of the digestive system, where 80% of our immune system lies. Then nutrients are not absorbed properly, so even when you think you are eating clean, taking supplements & herbs, you could be like a ticking time bomb and not even know it. So, there is that. Due to the stress, my immune system took a big hit & finding energy to do things has been tough, even though at times I’m very motivated in my mind, but my body doesn’t seem to follow. I know I can heal and get more energy, but it is taking time.

I bet vloggers would be surprised to know how much their sharing of their travels and life experiences are a real inspiration. Especially if one is isolated and feels a need for friends but lives in a place where kindred spirits are few and far between. You don’t see us, but we see you and it feels like a friend has come to visit and chat and is incredibly comforting and in a way healing. I am sure I speak for many others…..Because of the Goa videos I have watched on You Tube, I would love to leave the U.S. behind permanently and retire to the Arambol Beach area in Goa and enjoy together with all the kindred spirits who are dancing, singing, drumming, doing acrobatics, freestyle art performances, Temple of Love mellow night gatherings for live music, giant avocados, turmeric and ginger shots. Make some extra cash by selling things at the casual “Hippie Market” beach area, where you can throw down a sarong and sell your wares.

I would love to make lots of friends from all over the world and of course local Indian friends and learn Indian cooking and about the culture, like I did when I lived in Japan….I learned so much about the culture, food, history, way of thinking and of course the language. I would love to do that in Goa. I am sure I have had many past lives in India, and Hinduism, the Gods and Goddesses, Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, Ganesha, the Mantras and fantastic music, it all seems so nostalgic and uplifting to me. The cost of living is much lower there & I would be able to focus on enjoying life….the ocean, the beach, the people, sacred banyan trees, sacred rocks, temples, the food, the art, music, dance, drumming circles, the spirituality, perhaps even experiencing Moksha, Liberation.

And when rainy season and the hot season hits, just chill out indoors and meditate, study, listen to mantra chants and Indian music, visit temples and just live and hang out with kindred spirits. And keep clear of the snakes and mosquitoes and try to sidestep malaria, parasites and “Dehli belly”. I understand there are some realities one must face. Plus the fact you can only stay 6 months at a time and cannot come back til 2 months later. I figured I would get the 10-year visa with multiple entries allowed, and stay with a friend in Japan for 2 months each time 6 months goes by, and maybe even teach English for a couple months each time I am in Japan. I just wonder how it would be in terms of health care because, if I leave the U.S. longer than 30 days, I will automatically lose the Medi-Cal which paid for everything that Medicare doesn’t pay, including dental. And, I would lose the extra social security that I qualified for that brings in double of what I was getting, that would also be taken away.

I would have no family or friends that I feel I could count on living with, even for the short term,
if I should decide to return to the U.S. at some point. I would need to line up income while living in India so that I could save $ for the future possible scenarios, like if I needed to return to the U.S. for health reasons….I don’t know what the health care costs are in Goa or India in general, and as one gets older, one has to face the inevitabilities of aging. I was planning to sell my Lincoln Navigator for the air ticket and a little nest egg above my monthly S.S. So, even though I would be burning some important bridges, bridges of a sense of security which I have some semblance of now, finally,

But, even so, what seems like the very desirable lifestyle, atmosphere, culture & fun & interesting people around, I know that I would be much happier and it seems like even with the lower social security, I could still afford to live in Goa, upon finding the right living situation. And, who knows, perhaps I will be super lucky & have a Maha Samadhi experience & just leave my body or have a sudden fatal heart attack, when the physical vessel becomes a hindrance by a certain age. No need for an old folks home, that would be Divine Grace, in my eyes.

Well, congratulations to anyone who finished reading this. It is another rainy day and I just ended up expressing myself much, much more than I intended, but oh well. Es la vida, say la vie ^_^ Maybe there are some Indians who would like to give me their opinion or advice or friendship, or perhaps someone else has the same fantasy of just leaving it all behind and retiring on the beach in Goa, if so, let me know, we could share ideas and do some networking. Om Namah Shivaya!

It is good to see Bali from your eyes. This video certainly need some better video and sound. Many places the camera is jittery, shaky and sound got blanked out or very poor. Very annoying to watch. Hope you do better in the next one.

Hi Jessica, I love the feeling and energy that you have in Bali. I love your new dress and necklace, it suits you very nicely. I think I remember that you recently got a new camera. When you did editing, you must have noticed that it was hard to see things at times as the panning was too fast and things were very “herky jerky” & jumbled at times, due to the camera not being stable and moving around way too quickly, to show things. Can I suggest that you watch this video closely and you can judge how much slower and more stable to hold the camera when moving the camera to show things more clearly. The beauty is incredible, it would be nice to be able to focus in and see things more clearly and smoothly. I am sure it is an ongoing creative thing to watch your own video and see where you can try for a more smooth flow with much slower moving of the camera to be able to see more of what your eye sees and create that for the viewers.

I was happy to see you get together with your boyfriend again recently. That was very nice. He seems like a person of depth and I can imagine he is very interesting when he feels relaxed and is not in front of the camera, being a little camera shy. I am sure he will get more used to being filmed as time goes by.
