Funeral procession in Ubud, Bali. Sometimes on my travels Ive not necessarily planned to be in a certain place at a certain time for any specific reason but somehow been in the right place at the right time to witness or take part in a rare or celebrated event. This celebration of life and cremation ceremony in Bali is one such event I happened to cross paths with which was truly an eye opener into how other faiths deal with death. It was in fact a wonderful day to take part in and I was incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this quite rare event. The locals wanted to share the day with the tourists as ceremonies on the scale of which I was a part of are sometimes several years apart. If you are ever in Bali and told there will be a ceremony soon and you can make it happen to stick around and witness it then I highly recommend you do for a unique and authentic experience. .
