you can get two-wheelers and four-wheelers for internal travel on rent showing Passport number. No need to deposit a passport. But it will require an international driving licence to drive them. Indonesian police are more corrupt than the Indian police. Normally nobody check your licence. Even you cannot find any police on road. There are traffic jams everywhere in Bali, but no police come to regulate it. The licence issue comes when you commit some accident or you are struck by another person. In such case, u r in serious trouble for want of international DL. u may have to enjoy jail also. So, beware !!!

I had been in Bali recently Dec 2019. Good video. I want to add that in Non-Vegeterian food, they use beef and Pork in some dishes. If u r OK with this, no problem. Because even Indian Hindus do not eat beef and Muslims do not eat pork. So, confirm ingredients first. You can have chicken and lamb , sea food. Vegeterian food is available abundantly with good quality. In Singapore either they warn you about pork in dish or it is specifically mentioned in Menu Card which I didnot find in Bali. I personally do not have problem with pork or beef but my wife had. I assure Bali tourism is value for money . People are humble and smily except taximen. Taximen are crook. Their unions have banned Uber/Grab/Blue bird in certain areas . They have displayed sign bords that these taxis are not allowed in this area .
