You 2 get my wife and I excited for our travels. We are paying off some debt which we are almost done with! Then we plan on saving up to take a trip across the USA for 3 to 6 months. We’re going to document it all. I hope we can learn from you, because we’ve never done anything like that. We’re just learning with by watching videos and reading blogs. ok now i have to intervene about your Philippines trip that you are about to cancel (I know some people might not agree!)
lasr year(2016) we went to the Philippines. there was a terrorist activity warning also. around 2015 a Canadian got executed by a terrorist group in the south! we read a lot and decided to go anyways. it was our best decision. terrorist activity happen in the south of the Philippines. As long as you stay in the north and midle you will be safe. we met the most amazing people and honest person overthere! stay in tourist area. there is a lot of expat caucasian leaving there safely.
i would be more worry about terrorist activity in Europe then in the Philippines. avoid the south part of the Philippines.
but if you decide not to go i would understand also 😊
