I met my girlfriend in college after so many failed relationships. Those failures broke the man that i was, hardened my heart, shatterd my trust in women, i wasn’t looking for any serious relationships anymore, one night stands was what i was looking for now. I felt so lost, didn’t know who i was anymore. I’m normaly the kind of person that needs someone by his side always, i guess that’s what i was seeking for during those night stands but it wasn’t the same since the girls came and went. This kind of life wasn’t meant for the real me.. i felt so lost and was one foot into depression, it felt like i was drowning in front of everybody and nobody was seeing it. Until this one day when i saw her, i was exiting civil law class when she was coming down the stairs and we looked at eachother for like 5 seconds but it felt like a lot more. We smiled at eachother and went our separate ways. I didn’t see her before must have been her first day on campus. Days went by and started seeing her much more and everytime we saw eachother we played this flirty game of looking at eachother and smiling. So on saturday i decided to approach her and take her number. On the phone, i was surprised of the ease of having a good conversation with her, something i didn’t really have for a long time. So we planned a date on monday (i know not the best day for it now that i’m thinking of it). So monday comes we meet at a restaurant not far from where she lives and we start talking more, and i was pleased that it was also that easy to talk with her face to face, we laughed a lot barely ate anything, so we decided to bounce then i took her to a park to sit on a bench and talk more to know more about her. That was also the first time i wanted to know more about a girl for a long time, surely because i liked her vibe. Looking back at it i think i didn’t know what i was doing, it was supposed to be dinner then bed then move on but there i was on a bench talking to her. So she told me about her pesronality, her plans for the future, about what she liked and hated, that she was looking for serious relationships and i was there looking a her shocked unable to pronounce a word anymore. This girl next to me had everything i ever wanted in a woman and that i always looked for. So i told to myself what did i get myself into and started panicking. I rushed the conversation so we go back home.. I took her home then headed to my house. When i came back home i sat on my bed thinking about it, i was furious because i couldn’t stop thinking about her and i didn’t want to have feelings anymore it was my defense mecanism and she was tearing it down. So that night we talked on what’s app and after thinking about it i decided to ask her to be my girlfriend and she accepted. But i was still scared, that was too good to be true, i didn’t deserve it, maybe that was my karma call knocking on my door for breaking girl’s hearts all this time. Days went by, then weeks, then months, i really enjoyed my time with her, we were having really good moments but i always had this road block i made to not allow her to know me more to still protect myself just in case and she saw that and it was annoying her, so one day she took me to a place to talk and even if i tried to hold on she made me speak, she had this power of persuasion on me. So i told her all about it and she understood me, then she told me a secret she was also holding on to and that she didn’t want me to know so early in the relationship. She sort of knew me already when she saw me, she has like the memory of a elephant so she can remember so well of past events. She told me one day she was coming to see one of her friend in my school and saw me by a tree alone on my phone, she found me cute but didn’t want to approach me so kept on going, and that when she saw me again she told to herself she had to take the chance this time.. At that moment i looked at her with so much passion and kissed her, i said to myself you found your soulmate, let yourself go so i did. And today i don’t regret jumping in and giving her my trust entirely. It will be two years we’ve been together this 20th mars and it has been perfect between us all this time, we complete eachother perfectly. She saved me from the hole i was in and brought me back up where i should be. She’s my angel and loves me so much, no one loved me that much before. I understood that sometimes you have to go trough hard times to find treasure, and this song relates perfectly to my story. I sang it to her two weeks ago and she cried and thought it came from me 🤦🏾‍♂️. Her stupidity makes her so cute sometimes😄. I’m going to propose to her the 20th of mars because she did what no one else could, she changed me, believed in me, and also is my soulmate, she completely deserves it. Thank you for reading my story if you got that far, if you are in a complicated situation i just want you to know that you are on a path and your path will lead you to your destiny because everyting is already written, i found mine and you will find yours the moment you least expext it.
