HI. I’m your Thai fan. I just went to this place 3days ago. I could day the place was amaaaaaaazing and I loved the music. But one thing though. If you are not seated at one of the day beds(vip). Don’t expect to get good service from here.
We returned here because our first visit was great but this time all beds were booked and we had to sit by the bar and were completely ignored by all servers.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love this place. But I suggest to reserve a daybed in advance especially on the weekends.

If day beds are full, you will be required to pay for cover of IDR200K each (no drinks included)

The prices are on pair with any other upscale places in southern Bali so is considered moderate. Been to omnia several times and im ok with it nothing really spectacular unless you just want to filled your Instagram feeds with your selfie which is I dont. Perhaps since I’m Balinese myself and isn’t easy to impressed unlike my other job Balinese friend who just live to infest any places with videos and photos

For anyone of you who are in/planning to go to Bali, the beachclub, which was shown in the video, is called Omnia. I believe the place closes till 12 AM (correct me if I’m wrong) and has DJ’s playing till somewhere around 8 PM. The place is 21+, but don’t worry for you kiddos because there’s an amazing restaurant above the beachclub. Although the food is quiet expensive. The restaurant sells Japanese food like sushi’s and wagyu steaks.

The place is insane and beautiful, but the only downside about it, is that the sun sets on the other side. It’s still visible from the pools but in an uncomfortable position.

Overall the place is amazing and I loved it. Going again soon on my next trip to Bali

I’m part Indian so would love to go there one day but I feel I need more travel experience first 🙈 I’d love to know how you get the drone shots you do – you move forward and pan / turn at the same time so smoothly. How do you do that? I know you can set the buttons on the back of the remote to do certain things like tilt the camera at a certain speed. Do you use this function or do you do it manually and it just take lots and lots of practise?

I was there on the 12th May, and it was BEAUTIFUL!! Tho it’s pretty expensive, like you have to pay around $15 or 200 thousand rupiah just for the entry tickets. No drinks on that. And just a small bintang beer that costs probably around 15-30 thousand rupiah outside OMNIA and it costs 80 thousand (one small glass) rupiah in OMNIA. If you want to have a private table you have to pay 1.5 million rupiah (minimum spent)

What I find hilarious is that one would carry around a 1DX ( better yet 2 1DX’s) for vlogging when 99% of the viewers would not tell the difference between the 1DX and the G7XII footage. As someone who used to own a Canon FF I have now made the switch to Sony and I don’t regret it. It would be more wise if you got a G9 or GH5 for video work. And yes they can function in low light with the correct lenses. Not as good but good enough. I would stop trying to convince us you get no benefits from Canon. Seems more practical to drag around half the weight.

Hey you two, love your Chanel Christian, it’s now the time of Ramadan, the Australian government has put out warnings to Aussie travelers, as there have been parts of Indonesia that’s been targeted for Maximum damage against people by using explosives, not sure what you know or hear when living in Bali, but I know westerners are on their radar.. The advice from our government is legitimate, so just please be careful over next few weeks, they have targeted their own people in these attacks, so they don’t care whose around whilst sending in their bombers.. I hate the Canon G7x. No, I never had it myself. I hate watching videos recorded on it. I think Christian will mostly be fine with it, because he’ll mostly film in noisy environments with it. Where the problem grates on me is with sit down videos. Where it’s on a tripod and someone is sat in front of it, talking. It has incredibly annoying constant focus noise. It’s loud, and it drives people up the wall. I know of someone who uses an external sound recorder, just for that reason, and to cut down on ambient noise. So do NOT buy that camera unless you don’t do sit down videos with it – at all. If you only vlog, sure, it’ll work. What do I use? Sony RX100. Same type of camera, no focus noise. It has other problems, of course. No camera is without fault.

why travel all the way to Bali and stay at a 5 star luxury resort like the one you just visited ? when youre in such opulant place its hard to tell that you are in Bali. These resorts are interchangeable. If you told us that you were in mexico or jamaica I would have believed you ! So why fly 23 hrs to Asia when mexico is just a couple of hrs away ?

It would be nice to make a movie with a step by step detail about filming, editing etc. I mean shoot something then showing the camera, settings, lens. For each scene, each step you make. No one (youtubers) does this and many of watchers want to see how you made that footage. Most of youtubers show their gears but not how and when to use. Ex: jumping from a cliff – I shoot that scene with “that” camera, 120 fps, in the middle of the day, sunny day, etc
