We didn’t eat, but we did visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and I fed the monkeys. I don’t recall the place we ate upon arriving from Jakarta, but we went to Bebek Bengil (Dirty Duck) restaurant and a seafood restaurant on a beach that had a performance too.

Hehehe….I miss Ubud, Bali with its relaxing surroundings, good food, and nice people! I remember I would get mistaken most of the time as a local when I was there because we Filipinos look similar like Indonesians. I love Marks travel videos but don’t really care for the Southeast Asia ones that much. The food is repetitive, this with rice, that with rice and more food on sticks. Those are easy for him to do as they are pretty close to his home country, but I like the ones in Europe or the Middle East much more. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work Mark.

I’m telling you mark wiens,Bali is so diverse in food also a good region to travel. But (no offense to all balinese they are awesome) bali is not really the best place to go for the food. I travel there and eat randomly and almost every dish is not my kind of food (Some of them are good). And i ask my friends and families they also experienced the same thing. You got to go explore more of Indonesia (Medan,padang,Makasar,Surabaya,Semarang etc). Again no offense to all balinese,mad respect to you guys.

It would be nice if she had someone to watch your son so she can enjoy herself or record you without incident or your child being upset or whatever. I do see in the videos your son upset, cranky or whatever not meaning it in a bad way but that’s what kids do. The fingernails are one of the dirtiest parts of the human body. Someone should educate these Indonesians that it is unsanitary to use hands when handling food!

These locations and foods are truly mind opening. Though the one one thing that is absolutely getting under my skin is your disrespect for those whom cook for you. Your disingenuous over reactions is a pure insult to their intelligence. Nobody has such “orgasmic” reactions to every single thing they eat, as you do. The only problem I find when watching these incredibly enjoyable videos is I am always struck with the over-riding question in my mind: “WHERE DID IT ALL GO WRONG FOR ME?” I feel like a hamster on a wheel just wasting my life and not really living at all. So happy that you love our signature sambals. Sambal matah varies from original chilli and shallots to the more fragrant ones by adding lemongrass, or torch ginger flower (we call it “sambal kecicang”). Next you should also try sambal “uyah lengis” literally means salt and oil, with addition to fresh chilli and calamansi lime, it is a perfect companion to balinese roast chicken or fried mackerel. Seeing the authentic food and not the Westernized Indonesian cuisine that is tone down in the spices and meats (pig blood), which is served here in Canada. This makes me want to visit this country and travel for the food (yes, noted on the T-shirt).
Q: the dishes you ate were mainly meat dishes, are there any vegetarian restaurants or non-pork dishes?
Q: do you every have a reaction (diarrhea) to any of the foods you consume?
Q: What does Micha eat? Do you get dishes prepared exclusively for him? I’m sure you don’t give him the hot spicy food, rice is easy.

I love all your videos because they take me places I never will be able to go myself because I am bedridden. BUT, this one disappointed me a great deal.
