I totally feel your pain about 9/11! I go to NYC every year to visit the memorial and museum and I bawl every time. It’s so emotional to think about what those people went through! the geckos are pretty useful they eat flies and mosquitos and other bugs, the smaller geckos called “cicak” and the bigger one called “tokek”. sometime they “make out” on the wall and fall to the floor :v

Just want to put this out there to let people know. The meaning of “Nyoman” is actually the third child in Balinese. So his actual first name is Siarsa. But in Indonesia, his first name is Nyoman Siarsa. Traditionally Balinese didn’t have last name or family name. But some of them have nowadays. If you see “Wayan” it means the first child “Made” is the second child. To help the others distinguish if he/she is a male or female, they usually put I (read as E) for male and Ni for female before the born position. 😄

Indonesian food is seriously some of the best food I’ve had in my life. There’s a pretty decent influence of Indonesian food in the Netherlands because of the long history with the Dutch East India company, so when I was in Amsterdam I went to this amazing Indonesian restaurant. They have this thing called a “rice table” (“rijsttafel”) which is kind of like tapas, but a little bit different. It’s basically a taste of lots of different types of Indonesian food served with steamed rice, and oh my gosh that was seriously one of the best meals of my life I think. So good.
