Siargao and other tourist destination in Philippines should not follow the tourism trend in Boracay na naging mass tourism that led it to decline. Less is more. Limit the number of buildings and may guidelines to follow how to construct it para hindi makadisturb sa natural environment. Also, the number of incoming tourists limites so the impact is manageable. Aim for ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABLE TOURISM (hahaha…tama ba term ko) not just for tourist to enjoy the place but it will benefit the locals and their future generations, even un natural environment mapreserve. Since ang minamarket is the place, the natural environment, it must be well managed kasi once mawala or masira, years ang bibilangin para mabalik ang dating ganda and marami ang affected.

Agritourism is the long-term way of keeping this majestic island a preserved beauty on its own, what we need is a food source and ofcourse sustainability while achieving it. Little development was ok, but too much is TOXIC. Too much hotels and houses around the island will be extremely suffocating and the saturation of the visitors can be overwelming. WE WANT A NICE AND NEAT ISLAND.

The sunken lounge area is a place where there is fire to warm up ( don’t remember if i saw this in a movie or picture) during cold days. This is for a low ceiling houses to keep the warm air I would think. I saw this somewhere where food is cook. I like this set up a lot if I would build a house in cold winter. It keeps the household together and not quarintined in rooms.
