The lovers of the nature will love Bali. The island is not very great but it has an incredible variety of flora and fauna.

The impressive fields of rice of the environs of Ubud, the manglares next to Sanur, the ample wild zones to the west of Bali and the mountains of the north: a varied landscape where they inhabit numerous species of animals, particularly birds.

Look for white starlings of Bali, amadinas, sparrows of Java, blue calamones, jacanas, weavers and starlings alinegros, these last ones in danger of extinction.

Most of the west of Bali is covered by the National Park Bali Barat, where it has begun to nest recently the rare species of white starlings of Bali.

The park has a surface of 190 km and is formed by tropical forests, savannahs, forests, beaches of fine sand, reefs of chorale and four extinct volcanos. It has several tracks to practice trekking, from 2 hours to a whole day, so that it can discover the incredible wild life of the island.

Keep your eyes open to observe leopards, snakes, lizards, iguanas, turtles and monkeys, or to glimpse one of the 160 different species of birds.
