Hi Edward, I have a 2010 model Sony HDR-CX550V. Compared to the newer models, it does not have a projector and 24p and 60p frame rates, other specs are pretty much same. I have been using SONY for 15 years and still think it has the best camcorders in the market.

Thanks, I bought a cx190E and it was terrrrrrible! My canon camera takes beautiful video but it consumes so much memory space it is incredible…. also the iphone takes good video, but wanted a handycam…and now since the sony cx190 and very wary about video cameras! The definition was terrible, so so so so grainy and dull…i want something vibrant and clear! Thanks, Edward
